Motorists driving through the 4900 block of 10th Street in Great Bend may have noticed large amounts of water running over a portion of the sidewalk on the south side of the street.
Great Bend City Administrator Brandon Anderson said there is an issue with the water meter, coming from the sprinkler system, at Aaron’s.
"Ultimately, that water leak is saturating the ground where that sidewalk is," said Anderson. "More importantly, the engineered curb we have running along that highway...it's very important we protect the integrity of that. We'll be chasing that."
Contacting the local manager and reaching out to the district manager, Anderson said the city is receiving legal advice on how to handle the situation. The city will continue to investigate what actions they can take regarding the water leak.
