Michael Edward Wilson, 67, died April 18, 2024, at Clara Barton Hospital, after a hard-fought battle with COPD. He was born November 18, 1956, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Jack and Sherry (Mayberry) Wilson. Michael worked as a welder most of his life and later worked for the Larned State Hospital as a MHDD.
On July 5, 1989, he married Dixie Schwinn. She survives. Other survivors include; sons, Cody Wigren of the home, Eddie Joe Wilson of North Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter Jamie Marie (Charlie) Maybe of West Bountiful, Utah; step-daughters, Amy Wigren of Great Bend, Misty Rigby (Harley Bramer) of Newton, Kerri (Brandon) Maxwell of Hoisington, Amanda Rigby of Great Bend; sister, Debbie Allen of Bountiful, Utah; grandchildren; Pearl, Sammie, Uriah, Tayvin, Morgan, and Kyra; and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Joe Wilson, D.J. Wilson, and Keith Murphy, and a step-daughter, Kelli Lee Kaler.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service at a later date.
