Dropping money in the Salvation Army red kettles this time of the year is as good as investing in your community. All the money raised in the holiday season fundraiser stays locally to help multiple causes.
Outside of Sundays, bell ringers will be at prominent locations in Great Bend once again looking for donations. Anna Boy, local campaign director in Great Bend, says there are not many requirements for you to volunteer to ring the bell.

Volunteers are still needed and can figure out dates and times they are available by calling the Salvation Army at 620-792-4299. Bell ringing season starts each November and runs through Christmas Eve.
The Salvation Army provides basic needs, housing, youth services, rehabilitation, and counseling care to people in the community.
