The project, which will take at least three months, will begin at the north city limits of the City of Iuka in Pratt County and continue north 15 miles, to the junction with U.S. 50 in Stafford County.
Traffic through the work zone will be controlled by flagmen and pilot car, so drivers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
The work zone area will move daily and work will be underway during daylight hours only. There will be a 12 foot width restriction in the work zone, so vehicles with widths wider than 12 feet will need to use an alternate route.
Venture Corp. from Great Bend is the prime contractor for the project, which is scheduled to be completed by August, depending on delays due to weather.
