Kansas State President Kirk Schulz, along with other representatives of K-State and 8 Kansas Community Colleges were at Barton Community College this afternoon/yesterday for a press conference regarding K-State’s 2 plus 2 program. The program is developed for students that want a 4-year bachelors degree, but aren’t able to go to the K-State Manhattan campus to do that. It provides an opportunity to take the classes through their local community colleges, many of which are online. President Schulz says it’s been a successful program. He said they’ve recently added a 2 plus 2 program in business which allows students to complete a degree online at any of the states community colleges.
President Schulz said Kansas State currently has 79 “2 plus 2” agreements. For more information on Kansas State University’s 2 plus 2 program, call the K-State Division of Continuing Education at 1-800-622-2578.
