KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a pedestrian accident in Kansas City have identified the victim as 62-year-old Thomas L. Gibson, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.

Just after 1:30a.m. Tuesday, Gibson was crossing east to west all lanes of northbound Interstate 435 at Winner.

A northbound GMC Yukon Denali struck him in the #1 lane of travel. Gibson was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the GMC stopped immediately and was not injured in the collision.&nbsp;

All lanes of northbound I-435 were closed to traffic at Truman Road for approximately three hours.&nbsp;&nbsp;This is fatality #34 in Kansas City, Missouri, compared to #20 at this time last year, according to Gonzaalez.
