Fentanyl, meth found during arrest made in Hoisington

On Saturday, April 13, at about 1:30 a.m., a Barton County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a 2008 Chevrolet Impala for an equipment violation. The vehicle was stopped in the 1200 block of North Main Street in Hoisington.

During the course the investigation, there were indications of possible drug activity. Sheriff’s Office K9 Menta was deployed and alerted to the odor of controlled substances in the vehicle. Deputies on the scene conducted a search of the vehicle which revealed the presence of fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as Tracy Reeves age 46 of Great Bend, was arrested and transported to the Barton County jail without incident. Reeves was booked on the possession charges and has since posted a $10,000 bond.
