One of the items on the agenda for the Great Bend City Council meeting Monday, April 15 will be a motion to replace the digital billboard display at Brit Spaugh Park along Main Street.
For the past five years, the billboard has operated beyond its warranty period. The screen portion and underlying technology require replacement to maintain functionality, necessitating a thorough assessment of potential solutions.
After receiving a couple of bids, Marks Custom Signs offered the low bid of $41,107.60 to the replace the sign. The City of Great Bend has allocated funds over the past few years to pay for the replacement.
The city council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall in Great Bend.
