SMITH COUNTY—Spring storms brought strong winds, hail and tornado warnings to portions of Kansas late Monday and early Tuesday.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning in portions of Smith County for a storm that moved into Nebraska early Tuesday. The storm included wind gusts of 75 mph. There are no reports of damage or injury, according to the Smith County Sheriff's office.
Just before 5a.m., the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado in Greenwood County that moved northeast toward the community of Hamilton. The sheriff's office reported damage to trees and fences but no injuries. Evergy also reported several power outages.
