LYON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after a standoff.

Just before 11p.m. May 8, police responded to 2700 W. 18th Avenue in Emporia in an attempt to locate 39-year-old Amy K. Worthy, according to Police Captain Ray Mattis.

She had warrants for her arrest through the Lyon County District Court. Officers located her inside one of the rooms of the empty hotel. Worthy would not come out to the officers when the officers announced their presence.

She was able to evade the officers and escape to the roof. Officers attempted to negotiate with Worthy but she continued to refuse to surrender. Officers gained access to the roof and were able to get Worthy into custody. Worthy remains jailed on the outstanding warrants and interference with a law enforcement officer.
