KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating another deadly shooting in Kansas City.
Just after midnight Monday, police officers were dispatched to a reported traffic accident in the area of 23rd and Topping on a traffic, according to Police Captain Jake Becchina.
While officers were on the way the call was upgraded to a shooting, with a person shot inside the vehicle. First responders located an adult man with a gunshot wound unresponsive inside a vehicle.
EMS transported him to the hospital for life threatening injuries.
Investigation indicates the shooting took place nearby in the area of Blue Valley Park. Just before 5a.m., detectives were notified the victim died from his injuries.
