Police: 2 in custody for double murder at Kansas City Park

KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a double-homicide at a park in the Kansas City area have captured two suspects identified as 19-year-old Marquis Earl Lee Savannah and a 17-year-old.

Just after 10:30p.m. April 13, police were dispatched to a shooting at Wilbur Young Park, 1100 SE Adams Dairy Parkway in Blue Springs, according to a media release from police.

Police found shooting victims identified as as LaDronal Hamilton Jr., 19, Kansas City, Missouri and Karmello Matlock, 20, Blue Springs, Missouri.  EMS transported them to local hospitals where both  were later declared deceased.

 A 17-year-old boy was also shot and received non-life-threatening injuries.
