Barton Community College helps with ‘Stuff the Bus’ »

(From left) Barton Community College Dean of Student Services Angie Maddy, Barton Ambassadors Kami Maxwell and Branson Hoffman and Barton Admissions Representative Maggie Harris helped the United Way with its “Stuff the Bus” donation campaign Wednesday, which aims to collect donations of goods to help supply the United Way’s 19 local agencies.  The Barton representatives helped transfer donations from Barton’s van, which was filled with goods collected from college employees and students, to the United Way’s school bus, which was stationed at Wal-Mart to collect additional goods from shoppers.

Executive Director of the United Way of Central Kansas Julie Bugner-Smith said the efforts by Barton were very beneficial to the campaign. “Barton is vital to the ‘Stuff the Bus’ campaign,” she said.  “People don’t realize how involved they are in the community.  The staff and the students all get involved, and it’s a win-win […]
